Shipping Policy
Last updated: 29 July 2026
This Shipping Policy applies to orders purchased directly from Renaro Systems through renarosystems.co.nz.
Renaro Systems is based in Christchurch, New Zealand and currently ships within New Zealand.
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, Fair Trading Act 1986, or other applicable New Zealand law.
Shipping destinations
We currently deliver to residential and business addresses throughout New Zealand, including:
- North Island;
- South Island; and
- supported rural addresses.
Some remote locations, islands, or restricted-access addresses may require an additional charge or alternative delivery arrangement.
We do not currently offer international shipping unless agreed with the customer in writing before purchase.
Shipping costs
Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout based on factors such as:
- delivery region;
- parcel size and weight;
- whether the address is rural;
- the type and value of the product; and
- whether specialist handling is required.
Large or high-value computer systems may have different shipping rates from smaller components and accessories.
Where the checkout cannot accurately calculate shipping for an unusually large, heavy, or remote order, we may contact you before dispatch to confirm the available options and cost. We will not charge an additional amount without your agreement.
Order processing
In-stock products are normally prepared for dispatch within 1–3 business days after payment has cleared.
Custom-built computers may require additional time for:
- component sourcing;
- assembly;
- operating-system installation;
- updates;
- testing;
- stress testing; and
- final packaging.
The estimated preparation time for a custom system will be shown in the product listing, checkout, quote, or order confirmation where practicable.
Business days exclude Saturdays, Sundays, and New Zealand public holidays.
Estimated delivery times
After dispatch, estimated delivery times are generally:
- Christchurch and nearby urban addresses: 1–2 business days;
- South Island urban addresses: 1–3 business days;
- North Island urban addresses: 2–5 business days;
- Rural addresses: allow approximately 1–3 additional business days.
These are estimates rather than guaranteed delivery dates unless we expressly agree to a particular deadline in writing.
Online traders should state clear and realistic shipping costs and estimated delivery times. Goods should arrive within the stated or otherwise reasonable timeframe.
Tracking
Where tracking is available, tracking information will be sent to the email address or phone number provided with the order.
Tracking may not update immediately after a shipping label is created. Please allow time for the courier to collect and scan the parcel.
For orders containing multiple packages, components may arrive separately and may have different tracking numbers.
Delivery addresses
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address, including any:
- unit or apartment number;
- company name;
- rural delivery number;
- building access instructions; or
- other information reasonably required to complete delivery.
Please contact us immediately if you notice an error in your address.
We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after an order has been dispatched.
Reasonable additional costs resulting from an incorrect or incomplete address, redirection, refused delivery, or repeated delivery attempts may be charged to the customer where the issue was caused by information supplied by the customer.
Authority to leave
A courier may offer an authority-to-leave option.
Where you instruct the courier to leave a parcel unattended, the parcel may be placed in the location you nominated. You should only authorise this where the location is safe, dry, and secure.
High-value orders may require a signature and may not be eligible for unattended delivery.
Nothing in this section removes any responsibility Renaro Systems has under applicable consumer law.
Signature and identity checks
For fraud prevention and delivery security, some orders may require:
- a signature;
- proof of identity;
- confirmation of the delivery address; or
- collection from a courier depot.
The courier may decline to release an order if the required verification cannot be completed.
Local collection
Local collection may be available in Christchurch by prior arrangement.
We will notify you when your order is ready and provide collection instructions. Please do not arrive before receiving confirmation that the order is ready.
The collecting person may be asked to provide:
- the order number;
- the purchaser’s name;
- proof of payment; and
- suitable identification.
Responsibility for the order generally passes to you when it is collected by you or your authorised representative.
Packaging of computer systems
Complete computer systems are packaged with protective materials intended to reduce movement and impact during transport.
Depending on the system configuration, we may:
- use internal expanding packaging or protective supports;
- separately package a particularly heavy graphics card;
- include instructions for removing internal packaging;
- require the customer to install a separately packed component; or
- use the computer case’s original packaging inside an additional outer box.
Do not power on a system until all internal transport packaging has been removed.
Please follow any unpacking or installation instructions included with the order. Contact us before attempting installation if anything is unclear.
Inspection on delivery
Please inspect the parcel and product promptly after delivery.
Before opening a visibly damaged parcel, photograph:
- all sides of the outer packaging;
- the shipping label;
- any dents, punctures, crushing, or water damage;
- the internal packaging; and
- the condition of the product.
Keep all packaging until you have confirmed that the product is undamaged and operating correctly.
Prompt notification helps us investigate the issue with the carrier, but a delay in notifying us does not automatically remove any rights you have under New Zealand law.
Lost, delayed, or damaged orders
Contact Renaro Systems if an order:
- has not arrived within the expected timeframe;
- stops updating in tracking;
- is marked as delivered but cannot be located;
- arrives damaged; or
- is missing an item.
Please provide your order number, tracking details, and any relevant photographs.
Where Renaro Systems arranged the delivery, we remain responsible for addressing delivery problems with the customer. Customers should not be required to resolve a valid lost or damaged delivery claim directly with the courier.
We may investigate with the carrier before confirming whether the appropriate remedy is:
- locating and completing delivery;
- replacing the goods;
- repairing the product;
- supplying a missing item; or
- providing a refund.
Courier delays
Courier delays may occasionally occur because of:
- severe weather;
- road closures;
- natural disasters;
- network congestion;
- public holidays;
- rural delivery schedules;
- transport disruption; or
- other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where we become aware of a material delay, we will take reasonable steps to update you and assist with the shipment.
If delivery does not occur within the agreed timeframe, or within a reasonable time where no specific timeframe was agreed, remedies may be available under New Zealand consumer law.
Failed or refused delivery
Where nobody is available to receive a signature-required parcel, the courier may:
- leave a collection card;
- attempt redelivery;
- hold the parcel at a depot; or
- return it to Renaro Systems.
If an order is returned because the customer supplied an incorrect address, refused delivery without a lawful reason, or failed to collect it, we may charge the reasonable cost of redelivery.
This does not apply where delivery failed because of an error by Renaro Systems or the carrier.
Changes and cancellations
Contact us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an order.
We may be unable to change or cancel an order after it has:
- been dispatched;
- entered production;
- been specially ordered; or
- been assembled or modified for you.
Any return after delivery will be handled under our Returns and Refund Policy.
Shipping for warranty claims and returns
Do not return a product without first contacting Renaro Systems and receiving return instructions.
For change-of-mind returns accepted at our discretion, the customer is generally responsible for return shipping.
For a confirmed fault covered by New Zealand consumer law or our warranty, Renaro Systems will reimburse or arrange reasonable return shipping where required. Consumer Protection guidance notes that customers may initially return a faulty device for inspection, but reasonable return costs should be repaid where the product is confirmed faulty.
Complete computers must be securely packaged for return. We may provide specific packaging instructions to reduce the risk of further damage.
Separate shipments
An order may be divided into multiple shipments where:
- products are stored in different locations;
- one item is delayed;
- a component is shipped separately for safety; or
- separate packaging is more suitable.
You will not be charged additional shipping solely because we choose to divide an order after checkout.
